The Comfortline R-Line Black comes with black styling elements, including black alloy wheels and starts from $40,295. Finally, you have the Highline R-Line with Fender premium audio, starting from $43,795.

For ECO driving as well as top performance, the Tiguan comes with a four-cylinder 2.0 TSI engine with 184 horsepower, 221 lb-ft of torque, and a Tiptronic eight-speed automatic transmission. It has a 4MOTION all-wheel drive, giving you control in different environments. Additionally, there’s speed-sensitive power steering and regenerative braking. The estimated fuel economy is 10.6L/100km in the city and 8.0L/100km on the highway. 

Exterior and Interior Options

There are new exterior design features for 2023, especially in the Comfortline R-Line Black with its 48.26cm wheel design. Plus, there’s an option for a panoramic power sunroof. In terms of colours, choose between Atlantic blue metallic, platinum grey metallic and pyrite silver metallic. Alternatively, go pearlescent with deep black pear.

For interior styling, choose between titan black, storm grey and hazelnut trims. You can upgrade to leatherette or leather seating surfaces with heated front and outer rear seats. Plus, get a leather multi-function heaters sport steering wheel with touch controls. You can also add a third row to expand your seating to up to seven from the usual five.

Safety and Technology

As a family vehicle, safety is a priority. The Tiguan has IQ.Drive, a suite of intelligent driver assistance and safety features. They include Area View 360-degree, light assist and travel assist, which includes adaptive cruise control, lane assist, and emergency assist.
