Performance and Driveability
The new Atlas comes with two options for the engine: 2.0L TSI and 3.6L. The lineup includes four trims with horsepower ranging between 235 and 276, while torque capacity goes from 258 to 266 lb-ft.
All models come with the exclusive 4Motion All-Wheel Drive for improved driveability and eight-speed automatic transmission with Tiptronic 4Motion. The new Atlas can tow up to a maximum of 2,268kg and has a combined fuel efficiency of 10.9km/L and 11.7km/L, depending on the engine.
Interior and Exterior
Basic trims come with cloth upholstery, with an option for leather on higher trims. It’s also possible to customize the colour for an additional fee. While basic models have only heated front seats, higher trims offer heating and ventilation for all seats.
The 2023 Atlas Cross Sport lives up to its titanic name in every dimension. It has a 298cm wheelbase, 172.3cm height, 496.6cm length, and 224.9cm wide. Optional on higher trims include chrome window surrounds and a panoramic sunroof.
Front fog lamps, LED headlights, heated exterior mirrors, roof rails, privacy glass, and 45.72cm alloy wheels are available for all trims. The Execline, the flagship model of this lineup, also comes with a multi-function steering wheel and interior ambient lighting.
Tech and Safety
The whole lineup is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Standard features include a 16.51cm touchscreen display (upgradable to a 20.32cm screen) and USB ports for both front and back seats. The Comfortline and Execline also offer Volkswagen Car-Net, SiriusXM satellite radio and emergency call service, remote start, and the Digital Cockpit Pro.
There’s a list with over 10 driving assists, regardless of the trim level. These include blind-spot monitoring, electronic parking brake, hill hold and hill descend assists, and a rearview camera, among others. More expensive models come with dynamic road sign display, adaptive cruise control, and Area View 360-degrees.

There are four models available in the 2023 lineup: Trendline, Comfortline (with two engine options), Highline, and Execline, the Trendline being the basic model. Prices start from $40,895 on Trendline’s standard version, while Comfortline has a recommended price of $46,395 and $48,595.
